inviting you to the joy of an Embodied mind-heart connection
Embodied wisdom has been part of healing practices for centuries, long before western medicine or modern science. What a gift to be able to offer this ancient wisdom in a way that is accessible, empowering, and resonant to so many in their healing journeys.
Using the recent work and decades of research of Dr. Stephen Porges and many others in the field of psychology and interpersonal neurobiology, we have the ability to understand the important role that the autonomic nervous system plays in our lived experience. No aspect of our experience - individual, relational, or organizational - is untouched by this embodied system. Discover endless empathy, enlivened connection, and a joining together in our human experience as you learn the amazing qualities of your own nervous system, and of those around you.

“The autonomic nervous system is the heart of our lived experience.”
– Deb Dana
Learning to trust the wisdom of the nervous system allows clients to abandon well worn critical narratives about themselves, and build a sense of trust and appreciation for a system that has worked hard to keep them safe and protected throughout their lives. Modern Mind & Heart uses the wisdom of the nervous system to guide the therapy process, helping clients become empowered to create the internal and relational safety needed for authentic, connected living.
